Steps To Make Lemon Chicken

Lemon chicken is a fast to cook recipe which you can prepare for you and your family while you are on the go. It is one of the easiest and most hassle free dishes that can be made of chicken.

It can be accompanied with noodles, fried rice, and sandwiches. It can also be relished on its own with just a salad or a soup. It also makes for a good starter dish in parties. It is a big hit with kids as it is less spicy and tangy in taste. Lemon chicken is also good if you are on a diet plan, since it is prepared with very less fats and it is full of proteins.



Ingredients

Chicken Pieces bone less or with bone.

3 Onion cut into long slits.

2 Capsicum cut into long slits.

One chopped spring onion.

¼ th cup of lemon juice

Black pepper powder

Salt

10-12 garlic cloves

2 -3 table spoon Butter.

Method

Wash clean the chicken pieces. Prick the pieces with a tooth pick or knife. Pour the lemon juice over the chicken, sprinkle black pepper powder and salt. In a pan, add some butter and fry the onions and garlic till translucent.

Add the chicken pieces and cover the lid and cook on medium flame for about 15 minutes, tossing and turning in between. Remember not too cook the chicken on low flame otherwise it becomes hard to chew. Remove the lid and add the capsicum.

At this stage you can also add some other variation to capsicum, like mushrooms, carrots, baby corns as per your taste and preference. Toss on high flame for some time, till you see the chicken pieces nicely roasted from all the sides. Optionally you can also add some herbs like rosemary or oregano as per taste at this stage.



Alternatively you can also keep the chicken and the vegetables in the baking grill and grill it in oven for about 20 minutes on 200 degree Celsius. This would require much little butter and further help to reduce the fat content. Transfer into serving dish and garnish with chopped coriander and chopped spring onion. Your juicy tangy lemon chicken is ready to be relished.
