Summer is near. If you are looking for healthy, delicious salad recipes to combat the heat, you can prepare two amazing fruit salads called Ambrosia salad and Apple walnut salad.

Both salads can be made easily if you have all the required ingredients with you. This article provides step by step instructions to make these two yummy salads. You can follow them and prepare the salads with your own hand.



Ambrosia Salad

Ambrosia salad is a luscious one different from the common fruit salad. The effects of scorching heat in the summer can be contested by this yummy salad.

Ingredients

Grapes 1/4 cup

Pineapple

Marshmallows 1/2 cup

Mixed Fruit Chunks 1 cup

Mandarin Orange Sections 1/2 cup

Maraschino Cherries 1/4 cup

Cream (Sour) 3/4 cup

Method



First, cut the pineapple into small pieces (half cup sliced pineapple pieces is needed for the salad). Then, you need to wash all the fruits properly.

After that, mix all the ingredients well.

Blend fruits pieces without crushing them. Now, you have to keep this mixture in a refrigerator for at least one hour. Then, serve it in an attractive serving plate.

Apple Walnut Salad

Apple walnut salad is a mouthwatering salad you can regularly have in the exhaustive summer.

Ingredients

Brown Sugar 3/4 cup

Cinnamon 1 teaspoon

Cream Cheese 8 ounce

Yogurt (fresh ) 6 ounce

Cranberries (dried) 1 cup

Vanilla 1 tsp

Apples 7

Walnuts 2 cups

Method

First, you have to slice the apples into small pieces. Then reserve these apple pieces.  After that, take a bowl and blend the brown sugar and cinnamon well.

Now, take the yogurt, vanilla, and whisk and add to the bowl blending them well. Then, add cream cheese mixing it well with other ingredients.

After that, slice half of the wall nuts into small pieces (you need to keep aside the remaining wall nuts to garnish the salad) and add it to the bowl along with sliced apple pieces. Then, add the cranberries stirring it properly.

Now, transfer the mixture into a serving plate and decorate it with the wall nuts you kept aside. Then, keep your apple walnut salad in the refrigerator for one hour before you serve it.
